UK updates guidance on product safety in a no-deal Brexit

The guidance reaffirms that goods marked with the CE Mark will continue to be accepted in the UK for a limited time period and that the same safety criteria will apply. However, there is a new UK Conformity Assessed marking that may be used where conformity assessment is carried out by a UK approved body. Businesses who bring products into the UK from the EU will also become importers rather than distributors of these goods and will consequently have additional product compliance responsibilities.
