Maine posts draft PFAS rule for comment

Maine’s Department of Environmental Protection has published a draft rule that aims to provide additional guidance on requirements for products containing PFAS.
The guidance clarifies the terminology used in Maine’s PFAS legislation as well as detailing requirements for notification, exemption and prohibition.
Companies who sell products containing intentionally added PFAS into Maine should review the draft guidance and submit any concerns before the consultation ends 19 May 2023.
