RMI launches minerals agnostic reporting template

RMI has launched a new template for companies to assess their supply chains for minerals other than tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold, cobalt and mica.
The Pilot Reporting Template (PRT) is a simplified version of the CMRT and EMRT with disclosures required on the following:
- Whether other minerals are used in the product (up to 10 minerals may be disclosed)
- The percentage of suppliers who have responded to the survey
- The smelters used
The PRT is a test for disclosures of other minerals and provides an additional tool to support due diligence in minerals supply chains. It is expected to enable the identification of additional smelters, refiners and processors for possible inclusion in the RMI’s Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP). Companies are encouraged to submit new eligible processors to the RMI via their Company Identification Questionnaire (CIQ).
