The Challenge

The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Proposition 65) requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.   

The Prop65 list of chemicals is updated at least annually by the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment.​ It contains around 1,000 substances, many of which can be found in products. 

To avoid the high costs of non-compliance, your company needs a robust management system in place to monitor the list of substances. You need to identify where warnings are required and communicate this information to your supply chain.
