- Cadmium (Cd) < 100 ppm
- Lead (Pb) < 1000 ppm
- Mercury (Hg) < 1000 ppm
- Hexavalent Chromium: (Cr VI) < 1000 ppm
- Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) < 1000 ppm
- Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE) < 1000 ppm
- Bis(2-Ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) < 1000 ppm
- Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP) < 1000 ppm
- Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) < 1000 ppm

- The EU RoHS Directive has since proliferated from it's introduction in 2002 to have variations of it's provisions enacted in other jurisdictions such as China RoHS, Taiwan RoHS, UAE RoHS, Turkey RoHS, India RoHS, and so forth. All with variations in substance groups, reporting and exemptions used.
- Companies require a robust system to gather the necessary information from suppliers and lab testing to verify compliance with the directive and report conformity to customers as well as produce technical files for CE marking or hazmat labels for China RoHS.
